ALBUQUERQUE – A Shiprock man pleaded guilty in federal court to sexually abusing a victim in 2023. According to court records, in December 2023, Jasper Lee Gray , 63, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, knowingly engaged in sexual acts with Jane Doe without her consent, including through coercion. Gray pleaded guilty to sexual abuse and faces up to life in prison at sentencing. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison and Justin A. Garris, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Albuquerque Field Office, made the announcement today. The Farmington Resident Agency of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office investigated this case with assistance from the Navajo Nation Department of Investigation and Department of Criminal Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney Aaron O. Jordan is prosecuting the case.
