Tampa Man Sentenced to More Than 21 Years for Producing and Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material

Tampa, Florida – Michael Antwohn Wilson (38, Tampa) has been sentenced by U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday to 21 years and 10 months in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervision, for producing and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Wilson pleaded guilty in March 2026. The court ordered Wilson to forfeit a cellphone and two SD cards, which were used in the commission of the offenses. Wilson was also ordered to pay $58,500 in restitution to the victims and must register as a sex offender. U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe made the announcement. According to court documents, on February 23 and April 27, 2023, Wilson produced CSAM videos involving a child. From an unknown date until June 2025, Wilson also possessed CSAM, which included children under 12 years old. This case was investigated by the Tampa Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ilyssa M. Spergel. This is another case brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
